Master Disaster: A Master Bedroom Goes from Yellow to Hello

It's been near a year since I made over the master bedchamber of my friend Jordan's habitation. Where does the fourth dimension go?! And today, I'one thousand finally sharing the full reveal, over on Curbly.

A little back story… Jordan and her husband Chris'south quondam primary bedroom was filled with oversized furniture and accessories that fabricated the room feel crowded and unfinished. And the walls had been painted by the previous owners a xanthous mustard color.

So, to make the space a better fit for this young couple, there were a lot of changes to exist made.Fifty-fifty with a minor upkeep of roughly simply $one,200.

If you check out the before shots, you'll see just how many changes were made. Starting with pigment…and guess what?! It's non white! Of class, white is my go-to color for walls. But I went with a lite gray instead (Reflection from Sherwin-Williams), then the space would experience a little warmer and the white window trim would pop.

I wanted the space to feel fun and inviting, but likewise mature and not overly feminine. And so, I incorporated pops of colour throughout the room, with accessories and artwork, to balance out the neutral walls, without overwhelming the room.
